So I started reading, first the 2e book then the 20th anniv version. At least in 20th the authors are clear to not disparage psychiatry as a whole, and treat the psychiatrists and groups enforcing Banality as frauds, and moral guardians who don't have science on side.

The way he explained the world through a new narrative (cause describing it flatly would be rather BANAL), hit hard. I never knew anything about Changeling other than the name, but honestly it really resonates deeply with how I've been feeling for a long time.

I do tend to prefer watching Shakespeare to reading it. Sometimes people forget its theatre and can lose some of the meaning.
The Helluva pilot for sure. The Hazbin pilot I feel mostly holds up, and I watched the show first. I was aware of the Helluva fandom but didn't check it out till S2 of Hazbin started.
I think the Hazbin pilot has some strengthes over the series cause of streamlining, but it can't stand alone.
And sheer boredom. Like the Elf in Frieren who left a shitpost of a stone tablet claiming cheap hooch served at an Emperor's coronation was “the best spirit ever.” Inspiring a Dwarf to spend over a century looking for it.
