Bellflower’s puppet has been found to have been very unique. She was a rod puppet but also had an extra handler for her wings that were made to function like real bat wings, instead of wires that needed to be posed her wings were made to function the way a live hand puppet like Eddie’s was.

Bellflower also would call Barnaby “Barn of Bees” to match him addressing her as “Belle of the Ball.”

While she was easy going she also loved puns and she and Barnaby seemed to have many pun-filled talks with both getting Howdy laughing hard, but unlike the Beagle
the Bat was written to be a little more in control of her puns especially around Frank and Sally.

After all, who ever heard of a bug and a bat together.

She was seen visiting Howdy’s Place every time she visited Home but would also keep Eddie company on his rounds or do arts and crafts with him.

So it wasn’t clear if the writers planned to pair her with Eddie or Howdy, though some media suggested Eddie.

The latter being seen as her closest friend, a best friend some material suggested. Though there was some confusion if she was closer with the resident mailman or the local bodega owner Howdy.

Lost media aside, she was seen with all neighbors helping them or lending a sharp ear to hear their problems. She was seen mostly with Poppy, Howdy, Barnaby, and Eddie.

Halloween was what she was also used for a lot, some rumored material even had a Crispy Sweets cereal with an orange or mango flavor and marshmallows, nothing has been recovered though that may have only been concept.

She was only a visitor, her scenes in the show whether in puppet form or drawn were very sparse. Mainly, she was used for health and fitness, nighttime specials to teach kids about animals at night, and maybe a nighttime mystery or two.

Bellflower’s show media is almost non existent, books have been torn up with very few surviving pages and even then those may be covered in the same black gunk as the other items sent to the Restoration team.

3 years ago I checked out GTLive and they were covering a Puppet project with the start to a spooky, interesting story that is my best hyperfixation. So, allow me to introduce:

Bellflower Bat, Poppy Partridge’s cousin, though with how you’d see them interact you’d think they were sisters.

My Buggle got here!! sturdy and lovely.... really pleasant to dangle it and just absently smack repeatedly like a cat toy. regrettably(?) most of its surfaces are too fuzzy for me to chew on.
