Have a silly meme edit I did for my FFXIV character. Unrelated tidbit about my Catalyst project below.

I was planning to post my sirens but I've got a consistent clutter issue with my worldbuilding layout that I want to fix. I'll toss WIPs of other fantasy stuff out until then.

Whilst I'm trying to iron out Catalyst lore, I thought I'd share the concept art I made a while back for a different project I'm involved in, Beyond Skyrim: Elsweyr! You can find the little bulletin they're in somewhere in the YouTube posts!

This is wonderful! Have you considered using Wonderdraft at all? It is a one-time payment, but I use it for my own map-making for Eida and I find it handy! I'm on my fifth draft of my own map and I can relate to the suffering of doing it purely in an art program.

Whilst I'm working on my next creature post, I thought I'd show my scribbly little concept of Drusilla, the character in this drawing.

I guess it's time to finally leave #DeviantArt.

To make this announcement at the exact time #Sora finally f**king croaks, proving AI-generated video is yet another billionaire tech CEO brain fart just proves DA management's disgusting tone-deafness.
And they're using #Grok as one of their models! 😡

No fancy worldbuilding post this week. I've been focused on recovery and the second draft for my world's lore (so I can do more than creatures). Here's my attempt on my pixies! He's missing a bit of pizzazz, I think.

I think the advice I would give is to consider if your struggle with style comes from you or if outside opinions have shaped those feelings. If you're confident it's you, I'd look into your favourite art styles and analyse what you like about them/what they lend to a theme!

An elven woman in a dress and corset wielding a ball of fire, her hair wreathed by a twisted halo that resembles horns.

Of the fractured remnants of magic, fire is supposed to be pure, descended from a dead god shaped from molten flesh and starlight.

Yet in Vankraeche, fire is guided by the hollow malefactions of daemons. At least, that's what the people would tell you.

A dryad with a many-eyed stump for a face, a body like a horse and a long tail tipped with sheaths of wheat. Her hair is made of ferns and her chest and leg is full of honeycomb.

Here are my dryads. I wanted to loosely keep true to the typical beautiful woman interpretation (despite the fact they aren't technically women) whilst giving them features befitting an unnatural nature beast.

I should get my dryad worldbuilding posted sometime tomorrow, once I finish going over the lore. Here's a sneak peek at her as well as a scribble I did in a recent FC art thing.

I wanted to get this finished before valentine's but illness does what it does. So for now you get the WIP of Anthy since I can access it from my phone! Not sure how I feel about gray-scale just yet.

New icon for my little Applesnake persona that has a stronger presence than the old one. I switched him from a python to sort of a viper creature!

I don’t care how many images or how impressive the images can be created though mushing together masses of others images… I still want to create my own. I don’t care if my output isn’t as fast or even as good technically. I love creating and I love improving! It’s so rewarding!

I always love the little lore drops we get in your posts. This one is particularly interesting to me because it reminds me of real life where certain student circles use narcotics for the sake of their academic performance. It's a nice touch of realism.

No thank you. I don't allow an AI to be involved in any part of my production process and I'd waste less water by willingly dehydrating myself.

A darker-skinned woman, wielding water in front of a sunset, her hair tied up with a branch of coral to keep it in place. She has fins for ears and an outfit covered in pearls, tassels and colourful patterns.

Finally back from the ol' sickness bout. This is Pearlseeker Suunari, briefly mentioned in the lore of my last post. I do plan to have lore accompany her, but that will be in the soon-future once my beta readers are done.

I have the map planned out, it's just a matter of completing her enough to be content with it. I'm trying to design stuff w/ a "minor tweaks in the future" in mind? Something I'm happy enough with that the core identity of it remains unchanged.

Upgraded my layout and I'm certainly paying for it. This guy isn't a traditional kelpie, but I like him. No sketch, as Kalti hasn't encountered this guy. I'll elaborate on the mentioned rebellion a little next time.

No fancy art until the new year or so, but here, have an Aerith scribble with elf ears because I'm physically incapable of drawing a regular human person.

This is Archdragon Nhuie (Noo-e), who governs over Cryos (Ice). He lives atop the highest mountain in his icy homeland and those who go up without a protective talisman will fall into a deep slumber, never to wake.

Here are my harpies, based on sage grouses and velociraptors. I included a page with some (hopefully) more dyslexia-friendly font. I'll try to add them going forward, though I may forget sometimes.

Sick this week, regular posting is delayed. Instead, here is my 'Ancient Language', based on cuneiforms! I'm not much of a conlanger, so Catalyst's languages are all ciphers. This one was used by the lost Shiath civilisation.
