This is wonderful! Have you considered using Wonderdraft at all? It is a one-time payment, but I use it for my own map-making for Eida and I find it handy! I'm on my fifth draft of my own map and I can relate to the suffering of doing it purely in an art program.

No fancy worldbuilding post this week. I've been focused on recovery and the second draft for my world's lore (so I can do more than creatures). Here's my attempt on my pixies! He's missing a bit of pizzazz, I think.

I think the advice I would give is to consider if your struggle with style comes from you or if outside opinions have shaped those feelings. If you're confident it's you, I'd look into your favourite art styles and analyse what you like about them/what they lend to a theme!

I always love the little lore drops we get in your posts. This one is particularly interesting to me because it reminds me of real life where certain student circles use narcotics for the sake of their academic performance. It's a nice touch of realism.

Finally back from the ol' sickness bout. This is Pearlseeker Suunari, briefly mentioned in the lore of my last post. I do plan to have lore accompany her, but that will be in the soon-future once my beta readers are done.
I have the map planned out, it's just a matter of completing her enough to be content with it. I'm trying to design stuff w/ a "minor tweaks in the future" in mind? Something I'm happy enough with that the core identity of it remains unchanged.

Upgraded my layout and I'm certainly paying for it. This guy isn't a traditional kelpie, but I like him. No sketch, as Kalti hasn't encountered this guy. I'll elaborate on the mentioned rebellion a little next time.

This is Archdragon Nhuie (Noo-e), who governs over Cryos (Ice). He lives atop the highest mountain in his icy homeland and those who go up without a protective talisman will fall into a deep slumber, never to wake.
A harpy, coloured in orange, green, yellow and white, that looks like a velociraptor. It has a green chest. Next to the harpy is a picture of a slightly-monstrous woman holding an all-white baby harpy on her arm.
Here are my harpies, based on sage grouses and velociraptors. I included a page with some (hopefully) more dyslexia-friendly font. I'll try to add them going forward, though I may forget sometimes.

Sick this week, regular posting is delayed. Instead, here is my 'Ancient Language', based on cuneiforms! I'm not much of a conlanger, so Catalyst's languages are all ciphers. This one was used by the lost Shiath civilisation.
