Map of Virginia before and after the 2026 redistricting election.
Republicans understood that this was an existential election for the party.
After all, the map almost entirely writes the GOP out of power in the House of Representatives.
If the votes shake out as expected in November, MAGA will only have one Virginia representative.
imagine sitting on a potential challenger to the current bloc of social media platforms people are on but dislike for various reasons and going "no, no I must burn through my userbase's goodwill as fast as possible because I'm too bitter that funny trans women are more popular than AI dweebs"
I want this for you both so much <3
As of 2023, Sherlock Holmes is finally in the public domain in the United States -- which means that Arthur Conan Doyle's heirs and random other rights-holders can no longer insist that the character be free of any trace of homoeroticism.

Trials. From top to bottom, the whole chain, from the White House to those pressing the button.
A reminder while Republicans bitch about Dems finishing the redistricting fight they started: they have full control of gov’t— they can pass a law banning gerrymandering any time they want. They won’t. Republicans aren’t mad gerrymandering exists; they’re mad that they’re not the only ones using it.
Two things can be true:
Congress should pass uniform, national legislation reining in partisan gerrymandering; and
Until that happens, or every state adopts an independent redistricting commission, neither party is going to (or, frankly, should) unilaterally disarm.
Everyone knows the way you change the Constitution is to have six people in robes make up a new Constitution as they go along.
every conservative political complaint comes back to "those people shouldn't count because they disagree with me"
Republicans have stopped holding Oversight Committee hearings to help Pam Bondi avoid accountability—enabling the most egregious cover up in American history. What a joke. Here’s what’s going on.
Incredible shots of the exchange between Rep. AOC and RFK, Jr. at today’s congressional hearing.

Phoeo of a cute cat behind a super market toy set looking at the camera, with the silly caption of "Khajiit has wares if you have coin" which is a known The Elder Scrolls line.

A community member found another camera installation that isn't on SPD's camera map. This one contains 5 separate cameras and is located at 12th and Pine attached to SPD's East Precinct.
The part about Mamdani not being always correct is important. Because he's gonna fuck up and make mistakes (like with the library budget thing) and we rightfully need to hold his feet to the fire for that.
But like. This is socialism. We want this for everyone.
Left- America is paying for Israel to destroy south Lebanon leaving 1.2 million Lebanese homeless.
Right- U.S. veterans arrested inside the U.S. Capitol for opposing the war in Iran.
we all know I have no life, so:
This is horrific. I feel physically ill.

There are unlimited genuine problems with higher education that all should be fixed, many of which Zimmerman mentions in article. But the main reason MAGA hate higher education is because of the good things it succeeds at doing, like promoting critical thinking and making citizens of all races smart
I couldn’t agree more
Media needs to stop with "critics say" and just quote the actual language of the bill.
HB 249 creates a new category of "seminudity" which can be used to arrest women who aren't nude, but are wearing clothing — leggings, t-shirts without bras — that religious groups feel is too provocative.
The urge to bite these beauties is uncontrollable
I want to put something in perspective for you all. I'm an American, born and raised. There are some states in this "free" country where I just can't go. If I do, I could be charged with a crime for the simple act of using the bathroom. Driving a car or, in some cases, being seen in public.
This is, I think, what's so important about this analysis—we're talking people actively seeking power over millions of people.
That power carries with it enormous responsibility, not least of which is demonstrating that you care about all of your constituents.
I really wish we started treating Twitter in the same way we did 4chan. The legacy of what Twitter was and the problematic relationship people have with it prevent them from seeing that it’s 4chan. Yeah it can be funny, interesting, and wild…but you’re still on /b/ and /pol/… it’s bad for you.
Absolutely feral
