I still think it's been an intriguing season, albeit a little strange. An incredible campaign for historic Como fans (not the new ones) even though it's all been funded by billionaires. Disappointing in the final stages though.

Only four episodes of the new season of Full Swing on Netflix. Far too much emphasis on the Ryder Cup, and anodyne 'analysts', idiotic influencers and journos. Who cares what they think? Focus should always be on the players. Ben Griffin and JJ Spaun came across well. Not that great.

One of the poorest Napoli performances of the season. Lacklustre in all aspects. There can be no doubt, even in the ultra-partisan world of Italian football that Inter deserve to be champions. They won games when it mattered most and scored heavily in the process. Quite an odd Serie A season.

Look beyond some clearly very clumsy photoshopping here, and join us for a very lovely and lively interview with the great man!

The Hornets were one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the NBA this season. Disappointing for them to lose so heavily at Orlando. Watched a lot of Charlotte games, if only to see the progress of Kon Knueppel, after the Luka trade almost put me off basketball for good.

Sampdoria's three game winning streak comes to an end. Monza showing why they are promotion candidates. Brilliant Petagna strike. Very poor officiating. What an atmosphere at Marassi once again with 30,000 there, shame they had little to cheer about. Samp not safe just yet.

Azzi Fudd the number 1 draft pick in the WNBA. Glad for her sake that she didn't grow up in Glasgow, or anywhere else in Scotland.

Great news that Colony ꡰ체 (2026) will be released in the US in late August. From the brilliant Yeon Sang-ho, director of Train to Busan λΆ€μ‚°ν–‰ (2016), Peninsula λ°˜λ„ (2020) and The Ugly μ–Όκ΅΄ (2025). Very grateful to @wellgousa.bsky.social
for continuing to put South Korean films into cinemas / theaters.

They can call them whatever they want, it's just annoyingly repetitive. The same way people are called guests and friends instead of customers over here. The most important thing is that Rory won!

Glad Rory McIlroy kept his nerve to win just so there would be no more talk of throwing away a six shot lead. Love The Masters, the fans being constantly called 'patrons' not so much. Expected a little more of the other contenders, yet Rory thoroughly deserved a historic win. Brilliant.

Another game in which Napoli are unable to navigate a way through a low block - in reality every Parma player camped inside their own penalty area. Such a terrible goal to concede early on. Excellent move for the McTominay leveller but Alison Santos should have been on sooner.

It doesn't matter where McTominay is played he still finds a way to make a decisive contribution. Another well taken goal. Expect Napoli with Allison Santos, such an exciting, unpredictable winger, to find another way through the Parma defence.

Absolutely, said the same thing last season. Another mismanaged debacle this term. No point trying to predict the future, or dwell in the past, but Evani and Lombardo did steer Samp to safety and surely wouldn't have done any worse than Donati or Gregucci and Foti.

Brilliant second half comeback. Can tentatively say Sampdoria are almost safe now. More fouls than meaningful moves, but the creativity of Begic and Cherubini opened up the Pescara defence for the goals. Make Lombardo permanent coach, he deserves it.

Excited to see that South Korean horror film Salmokji: Whispering Water μ‚΄λͺ©μ§€ (2026) will be released in cinemas / movie theaters in the US later this month. It's still important for me to watch films on the big screen.

Can't criticise Robert MacIntyre for voicing his frustrations at The Masters, by his own admission a shite couple of days, although a decent round today. Back to supporting Rory for the rest of the tournament.

A rather anticlimactic end to an excellent March Madness, unless you're a Michigan fan. Such poor three point shooting from both teams. Regardless, it's still the best tournament in all US sports, pro or college, nothing like it.

The great Pietro Vierchowod turned 67 today. On a day when Sampdoria win a game of football (miraculous), it's fitting to share this piece I wrote about of the best Italian defenders, and Samp legend, for

Looked at tickets for the Scotland games at the World Cup. Thousands for a single ticket with a crappy view. Add in the flights and accommodation and it's way out of my price range. Would love to have attended at least one game but unrealistic. Many will feel the same. Ridiculous situation.

Ruud Gullit in a classic Sampdoria away shirt in the 1993-1994 season.
Roma fans will most likely know the defender alongside side him. Not easy though.
Pic from Sampdoria Anni 80.

It's always made out to be an impossible task, but there are plenty of good players in Italy. Giving younger players like Palestra, Bartesaghi and Pio Esposito more game time would be a start. There won't be a revolution, however a more tactically open coach must be a priority. No easy answers.

Of course it won't change anything. I have been closely following Italian football for more than three decades but this still feels like an avoidable failure. The staunch refusal to play in-form players like Palestra instead of washed up old timers a small but contributory factor.

Abysmal. A game of decisive moments. The Bastoni sending off, the Kean miss, but Bosnia and Herzegovina were the much better team throughout. Italy fail again in a huge game. Lamentable.

It's been on the way, Bosnia and Herzegovina deservedly level. Looking ominous for the Azzurri.

Hope the Kean miss doesn't prove pivotal. Such a big chance for Italy.

They definitely have grit, as you say, just not a massive fan of either. However they have been resolute so far, fair play to them.

3 weeks ago 0 0 0 0

Fear the worst, the same old story. Gatti and Mancini in defence doesn't exactly bode well. Maybe they will just scrape through.

3 weeks ago 0 0 1 0

The second half is going to be a real slog for Italy. Kean capitalised well on the mistake but otherwise Bosnia and Herzegovina the better side. No complaints with the Bastoni red card. Not looking good at all.

3 weeks ago 1 0 1 0

Kean justifying his selection again. Really good finish after such an indifferent start. The Azzurri looking nervous at the back as expected.
