watching Leicester tonight is going to be like watching a beloved family dog being put down.
especially if the cause of the dog’s illness was a slow poison administered by the chairman and ceo of a major thai duty free retail group following the dog’s unprecedented success

trying to find a diplomatic gig for matthew doyle too! call me woke but, within our diplomatic service, we need greater representation for people who haven‘t maintained a questionable relationship with a convicted paedophile
“maybe britain is ungovernable now” is quite funny when we should at least try a PM whose instincts don’t allow them to appoint the best friend of the most notorious sex trafficker in the world as US ambassador before we determine that
maybe I’m just tight and prioritise convenience too much but i get neurotic about missing flights because i paid for it and it’d be inconvenient
next time someone tells me he’s a decent man i think i will quietly excuse myself from the conversation
i hate them sooooo much
happens to align with my personal preferences and abilities at school but i love motivated reasoning
very tangential now but there’s a bit of pro-stem, pro-humanities stuff in replies and, on this, someone on the other place (i can’t remember who i will give credit if it was you) said there are 2 real subjects: maths and history. basically what i believe tbh. everything else is a branch of those 2
This is such a good point and I think is really revealing of how few STEM grads there are in our political media.
At what point during Numerical Solutions to Differential Equations or Advanced Cosmology should I have expected to listen to someone bang on about the evils of wokery?
learning about fourier transforms at uni but every twenty minutes the professor pauses to kickstart a discussion on why the white race might be superior, you have to be okay with it or the university gets flattened by the RAF
so much of this stuff is humanities grads getting irritated by other types of humanities grads www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

An all-time classic entry in the hall of fame 'does the person saying this realise how damning it is?' quotes:
Goldeneye this Goldeneye that, the true best* James Bond game asks the question what if a James Bond game was actually a Legend of Zelda game
oh pretty cool that you’ve got lana del rey to do your James Bond videogame theme. it’s not gameboy James Bond’s theme though, is it? youtu.be/VvVXebu1xMc?...
for sure but a good owner isn’t sacking a manager based purely on fan sentiment and there have been some shocking appointments
some of our current players think they’re too good for the championship and yet somehow aren't good enough to keep us in it
anyway I’m not that bothered I’m fine about it
two out of our three recent relegations we’ve been “too good to go down” except we haven’t. they’re just all frauds
if you fill the club with shit attitudes (I never want to see harry winks play for us again) and run it with an unearned complacency, you will obviously fail catastrophically. shit culture, shit owner with no clue
obviously we lost to Portsmouth today. our team is shite, they don’t run, they can’t defend, nobody can score and nobody cares
i think the worst thing is that we have our worst set of players in our history, we lose every week, we are going to get relegated to league one, it was all foreseeable and my levels of anger at the club don’t really change. it’s just a consistent fury at the inevitability
we will be in league one for 3 seasons+ if we even still exist
yep
this set of players has to go down as the worst set of players in our history
anybody been playing pragmata? would i like it? thanks in advance!
was going to post my one of these but literally just the same as Owen
there’s people whose job it is to know and write about politics and the world who have made the following two calls in recent years:
- appointing mandelson was genius
- starmer made a mistake by not getting us as involved in the Iran war as the Americans wanted us
it was the best pal of the sex offender or bear grylls. real politics is about making tough decisions
maybe in the student union you’d keep the well respected incumbent who keeps a lower profile and has built strong relationships within a historically volatile ally’s government in post but this is westminster
