Today, I started putting together the Poperratic artist page in preparation for the launch of the @subvert.fm platform! Tens of thousands of independent artists, labels, and supporters came together to actively create a better path forward, and it's exciting to inch closer to its fruition.
Lots of thanks to @djkidgorgeouspe.bsky.social who's been running some brand new Poperratic tracks on Music Melange, alongside some wonderful artists. I'll soon also join this lovely soul for an interview and performance on WDJK's killer new Artist Feature series. Stay tuned!
Surveying the east coast landscape makes me appreciate how our ancestors strategically navigated this vast, curvy, heavily wooded, creek & river-laden terrain during the American Revolution, hauling gear mostly on foot, wearing the modern equivalent of gum wrappers in all extremities of weather.

Man, alive. Creatives in NYC/NJ consistently exist on another level w/ passion, curiosity, hustle + absence of tedious bullshit. Yay or nay, no time wasted: everyone's got options, shit to do & overall mission (and knows you do too). It's basic adulting but regular reciprocity feels like sorcery.

My animated music video Poperratic: Zero Hero has become an official selection of the Klein Film Festival, which prides itself on seeking bold concepts and approaches in filmmaking. The festival will take place October 16-19, 2025 and the schedule will be published this week at kleinfilmfestival.com

First batch of CDs now available from UK. U.S. sources coming soon. I've retooled CD specs to eco-friendly versions that also reduce production and shipping costs, and allow more vinyl art crossover. Postponing cassettes; no cost-effective options with reliable production currently.
And it's not like we don't have plenty of examples in living memory to reference. Tariffs only work when (a) you have the right target and (b) your country is reasonably self-sustaining. Lee Greenwood lyrics aren't the basis of global economic policy.
I hope the options I've come up with so far will make things easier for everyone who wants one, with everything currently going on. I've been looking every day for more ways to counter the chaos!

Just learned that Poperratic: Zero Hero has been nominated for an award at the Newark International Film Festival (Sept. 2-7). Not sure which award yet, but happy to hear it's being well-received there!
