Dear God, when my brain starts to feel frantic, help me to slow down, be attentive, and find the stillness. May I embrace the gift of silence when it is available. Help me to resist pulling out my phone to occupy that space in those valuable moments. Amen.

We’ve been told the surgery is finished. It was slow but there were no problems. Just waiting to hear when we can go and see her in the recovery room before they transfer her to her main room.

It’s 5am in Dusseldorf on the day of Selah’s surgery. We’re confident after a long discussion with the surgeon yesterday. She’ll begin the process at 7:30am. It will take 4-5hrs. It’s big and the coming days will be a huge emotional journey 🙏🏼 Thank you for all your support.

Kia ora koutou, due to 30k being directly donated to our bank in the last 48hrs, I have reduced our Givealittle target. Thank you for all the support so far! It has been immense. If our funding application is unsuccessful, the target is going to increase again significantly.

We’ve been really encouraged by the difference we’ve seen it has made for others - but saddened by the fight many have had to go through to get there. Once we’re through this tunnel I hope to use my voice to help ease that fight a little.

I agree. It's being worked towards here thanks to one particular surgeon and a group of specialists. But it can't happen in the timeframe we need for our daughter. But hopefully next year people will stop needing to head overseas.
