I wonder if I'd be happier with an armored VF that just didn't transform. It has to jettison the armor to do that anyway, so why not just make it a figure?

The armor parts are always an afterthought. Which I get. You want a good VF toy first. Concessions to get the armor to work are unfortunate, but kinda the price of doing business.

I agree that the Hi-Metal VF is a 5-star toy on its own.

And yeah, the lack of stand is a crime.

I cleared a threshold that I hadn't considered.

All the success from the TV series hit Exodol hard. He had an influx of wealth and status. He got doped up on meth and heroin. It took a toll on his body. By the time they went to film DYRL, they were contractually obligated to keep him in the film.

The Sheryl/Ranka Macross 7 medley was great, but I can't say it makes the whole thing worth a watch.

I enjoyed it well enough.
