"Broke it, or made it better?"

I'd never stop talking about it, it'd become my whole personality.
Palantir, and all those who make an idol of Western culture, are doing the boring thing of being up their own butts.
They're so infatuated with what they can do they lose perspective and imagination.
A sharp sword has its use, but I hope we don't starve before we remeber we can make plowshares.
Just getting into William Stringfellow's "Imposters of God" and I'm wondering why I am not reading about him all over the place. Seems like his voice is a voice for this day and current political and religious moment.
Same. My childhood in FL with no air conditioning has given me an unconquerable love for box fans.
Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt from the movie "As Good as it Gets." There is text for a line from the movie, reading "You make me want to be a better man."
Just like "As Good as It Gets" but it's just me taking a second pass looking for the thing my wife needs in the freezer, and finding what I had sworn was lost forever.
If the more is onion rings? *chef's kiss*
Meanwhile, the typical American will pay a federal income tax rate of 14.5%
This is what a rigged system looks like.

I am unwilling to prejudge this.
Not knowing at all what you're looking at may not be the defense you think it is, Mr. President.
The effective federal corporate income tax rate:
1950: 50%
1990: 25%
2020: 13%
Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate.
That is how we will pay for it.
Victor Orbán’s removal sends a timely signal.
Corrupt kleptocratic Christian nationalism was on the ballot in Hungary today — just as it will be on the ballots that Americans will cast in November.
It was repudiated abroad — may it be repudiated here in November (and beyond).
Remember: The recipe for economic growth isn’t tax cuts for the rich. It’s investment in our people — in health care, infrastructure and education — to build a strong middle class.
You don't grow the economy through trickle-down nonsense.
We have a president who took the nation into a war for reasons he cannot fully articulate, without a strategy for how to respond if Iran did the expected and closed the Strait of Hormuz, and without an exit strategy if Iran doesn’t surrender.
Reminder that Congress can step up and stop this.
Kaine: "You don't sucker punch somebody in a bar and then blame your buddies when they don't join the fight with you. If the president wanted the support of allies, he should've respected them instead of putting tariffs on their economies and trash talking them."

Spoiler alert: nothing trickled down.
I can't spare much energy to marvel at how badly things are going for the most misguided hopes of American conservatives. I only want to build a community where it looks like the way things should be run is already the order of the day.
Are you tired of winning yet?
It isn’t difficult to keep alive, friends — just don’t make trouble — or if you must make trouble, make the sort of trouble that’s expected. Well, I don’t need to tell you that.

I would give many, many dollars to see Gary Oldman in this.
I played Krapp in my buddy's senior conservatory show in undergrad.I loved the play, but I'd really love to see Gary do it right.
We are spending an estimated $1B per day on the war on Iran.
Now Trump and Co want an extra $200B from Congress to fund the war.
But healthcare? Cut.
Food stamps? Cut.
Education? Cut.
Cancer research? Cut.
Environmental protections? Cut.
And of course, taxes on the rich? Cut.
It's obscene.

I was so proud of this grilled cheese I took a picture and sent it to my brother.
I spy an action oriented soda water golem. Those guys are indomitable.
Imagine if humility and revisability were seen as the virtues they are.
Declaration of Barmen on repeat these days.
