Well.... attractive *nice* characters. The gentry (even if they *really* look like stink weasel people) and the vampires are kind of their own thing.

The most I can remember someone talking a lot about attractiveness on the disc is probably Angua talking about Sally.
And vice versa.

"The goat was kicked out of Wrigley long ago.
Then his curse ended.
And a dark time began in joy.

Yesterday, the goose was allowed to stay.
by the holy cow, may the stars move..."

You're up then you're down
You're wrong when it's right
It's black and it's white*

And O'Neill held his coalition together about as well as the Republicans did.

This is just weird.

?
It was the Democrats who sponsored the law.

1 day ago 0 0 1 0

It was literally three *northern* Democrats who introduced/sponsored the biggest cut - a bit over half of that 40 percent.

Zamboni buckets might hold a bit more.

But only know of Vegas and Detroit having them - and hockey so not a stadium.
On the other hand, little Zamboni!

A goat was once kicked out Wrigley Field.

The goose can stay.

When they booted that goat from Wrigley, the Cubs didn't have a pennant or World Series win for 71 years.

And geese are friggin' mean.

Especially when it was slashed by 19 points before that with Kennedy.

And... thanks for giving some credit to the Democrats for that 40+ point cut, I guess?

Grim Fandango, Blade Runner (97), Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea for obvious.

Sam and Max Hit the Road and Stray Gods for am-I-joking-or-not?

Does smooth immersion and no anachronism really... Calvino though?

Like having basically Sherlock Holmes in Name of the Rose pulls it out of the medieval period but that was intentional.
(Yeah, that's Eco, but it's been too long since I've read Calvino)

*non individual income. doh.

2 days ago 0 0 0 0

Like raising the top marginal rate to 39.6 from Reagan's 28, say? And not lowering it once?

Still, they haven't really touched the lowered non-income rates much at all, so I hope you are right. Maybe they *do* lower tariffs ay least once they have the opportunity again. I certainly hope so.

Ok.

Don't see any reason to accept "Every budget they propose is a reaffirmation of the basic idea that low taxes spur growth" though.

Booker is proposing as high as 45 percent right now, but not counting that beyond minority party theatrics.

2 days ago 0 0 0 0

Sounds mushy.

That 37 is up a chunk from 28 under Reagan. And it looks like the marginal rate either went up (as high as 39.6) or stayed where it was under Democrats.

I guess it works if the Republicans have been the ones proposing the raises. Or it depends what reaffirmation means here.

Mushy.

I have a soft spot because of Sid Haig. And the influence of William Marshall - with the dash of Pee Wee's Playhouse - makes me smile.

If only the Republicans had...

One Democrat party leader did neither.

I'm not about to blame Reagan for today - this country is our responsibility, not any President's.
But I really, really wish he hadn't shaken hands with the piece of crap, racist, demagogue, populist, Democrat George Wallace halfway through his second term.
