Hi! We have a long term mark, release, recapture project ongoing with colour rings as well as monitoring metrics around breeding and nest initiation.

While Eiders take up most of our time and focus, going through the trail cams we deployed over the summer gives us a great view of some of the neighboring species too!

I'm an early career ornithologist at the University of Iceland, based at the research centre on Snæfellsnes.

Current work focuses on Common Eider, with interests in #Seabirds, #Shorebirds, #Waders and #Migration strategies.
