My buddy's dysphoria hoodie, which for those who don't know, is a term used in the trans community for that special hoodie in your wardrobe that you wear when you feeling especially crummy from gender dysphoria. They're usually oversized and in a dark color. This was the first white one I had ever seen! He told me it used to be a pastel tie dye when he first got it. The color is so faded now that it's faint enough to look like stains or something. On the left side of the chest, the hoodie has a small decal of an alien in a flying saucer.

Bad news for my haters: I made tzatziki
The cutest little 8-point star quilt block you ever did see! The inside of the star is a square-in-a-square block with a beige center and blue-white pinstripe corners. The star's points are made out of a beige and green fabric. The background fabric color is turquoise. Many of the turquoise pieces have wonky seams in the middle of them because I overestimated the sizes of my scrap pieces and had to sew more pieces together. The whole quilt block is roughly a 6.25 inch square. The quilt block sits atop a light colored wooden table, if you care. Fuck that table, the quilt block is the beautiful and dazzling star of the show.
I finally faced my fears and tried foundation paper piecing. IT'S SO EASY??? I DON'T HAVE TO DO MATH??? I made my first economy block, and the final result is this saucy little star! Not bad for baby's first FPP block!

Another question I came here with was: how effective are the whistles and honking? Does it stop abductions? And the answer is, surprisingly to my cynical self, yes, and often. I have talked to so many people who have successfully interrupted kidnappings.

I'm just gonna keep it like this. If I'm feeling fancy at any point I'll hide the mistake with ribbon or embroidery. I could seam rip it and put it back on right, but I like it like this! It tells a story!
