I just noticed this in a paper I was reading for my research (different journal), went citation chasing and the referenced article didn't exist!
Also noticing that some will cite papers that don't actually support what they stated - one actually contradicted the statement!
If we can't trust Springer Nature....
Those editors should be held accountable!
