Recreational fencer here - not sure what I think of this yet. So far it looks like the WFL is invite- only for elite fencers so for us ordinary mortals little will change. Still, I can see where it might encourage more folks to try it. It's a fantastic sport!

Gen X here too, and same. My mom worked in a public library so my parents didn't prohibit any books. If they had I'd have likely tracked down a copy anyway.
