Sounds to me like they are just trying to match the US government’s way to doing things to see if that works.

Saw a meme yesterday that asked “Does anyone know if the Strait of Hormuz opens on Sundays and if so at what time?”

Was talking to a food science professor in a US university today about massive cuts to their funding. I reckoned if they renamed one of their key facilities the Hegseth-Patel Center for Brewing and Distilling they’d be sorted.

Making a splash: demand for raw and ‘brewed’ milk growing in UK Farmers and delivery firms launch new options for those seeking alternative to traditionally pasteurised product

Brewed milk is the hip new name for the old technique of low temperature long time (LTLT) pasteurization.

As a dairy scientist, raw milk is probably indeed better for you than pasteurised. But only in a world where bacteria don’t exist, which alas is not ours.

Reminds me how important the apostrophe in the title of the movie The Pope’s Exorcist was because it showed possession.

Cameras in classrooms linked to AI watching students to see if they are paying attention and if they are not the lecturer is in more trouble than they are.

There’s the ultimate student evaluation!

Visited four top food universities in China this week - great discussions on research and programmes and facility tours. Amazing insight into university education too - undergraduate students all live on campus and no hanging out by day in rooms allowed plus night curfews imposed.

When life gives you blocks make blockade?

3 days ago 51 5 0 1

Iran blockades the straits in response to the United States blockading the straits in response to Iran blockading the straits. As we are now all in agreement there should be a blockade, I see no reason to why our two nations’ navies cannot cooperate in the blockade until we surrender to ourselves.
