Thank you so much!! I'm incredibly honoured, and I hope the scenes in the book live up to Chechula's extraordinary interpretation of them!

Having a lot of thoughts this week about the erosion of YA as an age category (any subject/prose style is free game, but your intended readers are teens) and push for YA as a genre (simpler prose, mandatory romance, your target audience is adults)

Not going to screenshot but JKR is dishing out hugs to people who've changed their profile pic to "I Am Charlie Kirk" and is quoting bits of Mein Kampf to make her point about how we should be crying over dead nazis. Seriously.

charlie kirk spent his short life advocating for people at schools & picnics & churches & synagogues & movie theaters to get their heads blown off anytime and you should suck it up and be fine with it, and now the worst people in the world want you to be sad that he got what he wanted for you

Every so often I remember how about this time last year I reassured a friend sick with covid for the first time that long covid was proving 'annoying, but not like, debilitating'.

Personally I hope we find out that what Gollum was doing while wandering about looking for the ring was either solving a series of cozy murders (Precious We Wrotes) or performing in an incompetent hobbit amateur dramatic troupe (The Ring that Goes Wrong)

Black-and-white photo of a beautiful medium haired white cat, who seems to be standing with its front paws inside of a toilet bowl with the high legs up on the seat. It is looking towards the photographer as if caught in the act.

Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.

There is still salt in the mix therefore: salted peanuts. However if you were to remove a subset of those nuts and somehow managed to avoid the salty region: yes you would now have unsalted nuts again

Hello! My debut sapphic YA fantasy Mirrorwoven is out next summer with Harper Fire: When a runaway princess ends up court-bard to a naive young queen, she must teach her how to rule without giving away her own secret - or breaking the spell hiding her identity by ✨falling in love✨

8 months ago 10 3 0 0

Yes my book is going fine why do you ask

8 months ago 7 0 0 0

I would argue no. They may be very very lightly salted, but as soon as any salt is added, you no longer have unsalted peanuts. The saltedness of nuts exists in a pure binary.
