But I do have the bias of having grown up around conversations about water in the West, so maybe it’s much less clear for folks unaware that the Colorado River isn’t just in Colorado. Unfortunately, I think that’s a problem this article and thread are not equipped to address.
I don’t find “Colorado basin” confusing and it doesn’t take a lot of scanning for context or even following links to confirm that it’s the whole watershed. I know this is a pedant site and indulge that side of myself here at times, but I think anyone confused should read the article.
The subheading says “seven basin states,” so yeah it’s about the whole watershed, not just one single state.
I have read way more wound care product pamphlets than I should have to, and it’s really gross that this is now a thing we have to do because making sure we have supplies so our wounds can heal is now out of providers’ scopes. But we sure get judged if we don’t do it right!
I’m only allergic to 3M medical adhesives so far. But I pack silicone tape and Hypafix with me for medical visits because it’s a crapshoot as to whether any facility I go to will have multiple different brands of medical adhesive products or just the one that makes my skin blister and fall off.
My school banned backpacks as well. We were allowed to bring our homework to and from school in backpacks, but this makes it confusing as to how the backpack ban had any safety utility at all.
I can imagine an inexperienced traveler accidentally not building in enough extra time to navigate the system, but cutting it close to avoid a wait at the gate is not something I imagine many would do without very good reason (like trying to minimize pressure sores or using the plane bathroom). 4/4

In my experience and that of other folks with varying disabilities, we usually have to show up *much* earlier thanks to all of the barriers to accessibility in airports. The ways a disabled person ends up cutting it close are frequently not because they didn’t try to be early. 1/4
It's great to feel hope, it really is. But when it comes down to it, hope is actually a choice removed from feeling hopeful. Hope is choosing to act like what you do will matter tomorrow, whether or not you feel like that's true or if you personally will see tomorrow.
