Emerging Tactics in Destroying Libraries for Political Power: Book Censorship News, March 13, 2026 Perkins County, South Carolina, and Randolph County, North Carolina, point to new tactics being used to destroy libraries for political power.

“The rallying cry of ‘local control’ is not about local control. It’s about controlling everything, right down to the local level … what scares those stealing power where they can is the knowledge that grassroots advocates on the ground are closely watching them.”

What do we make of Colin Kaepernick now? The Super Bowl is being played in his former home stadium, at a societal moment that echoes the issues he forced football fans to confront. So why is he out of mind?

Pew Research Institute (2023):

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

Call to Action: The State Board of Education is considering a list of required readings. It's bad. We need your help to stop it.

Urgent call to action, Texans: we need to write to our State Board of Education members and tell them NOT to adopt the proposed required reading list they’re considering at the the end of the month. It is BAD. I wrote about why here: franklinstrong.substack.com/p/call-to-ac...

After enacting the largest SNAP cuts in history, Trump is now scrapping the federal government's annual report on hunger in America.

The utter cruelty of this regime knows no bounds.

It’s just wild the cultural differences from a blue city in a red state to a blue city in a blue state. Loving that this is proudly front and center in my new school district.

I’m so sorry. I was a library coordinator in NTX and left. This was just one of the many things I was going to have to train and support my librarians on. I understand how painful and wrong this is.

I can’t understate how strange it is to move from Texas to a blue state as a school librarian/administrator. I’ve been really tired, a little sick here and there, and just generally low energy. I think my body and mind are slowly detoxing. It’s a strange place to be in so I take one day at a time.

They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida.

If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.
