Barely anyone actually cares about thr constant violence against disabled people. Kelly is one of few people who actually talks about it frequently. Truly no one cares about us
The illegal war in Iran is causing devastating supply chain issues.
The UK is just “weeks away” from medication shortages.
Any disruption to medication and healthcare supplies will disproportionately harm and endanger disabled lives:

How do we align the interests of the individual and the collective? We look at examples from history of leaders and thinkers that did just that in the 3rd episode of our series on The Alignment Problem No One is Talking About #Collectivism #Aristotle #Kendi #Mill #JohnStuartMill #JohnKey #Nixon
Albanese doesn’t take advice or listen to anyone. He’s a one man band doing his own thing. Whatever that is. It’s a secret. #auspol.
"Rents have surged more than 30% in many parts of Aus since 2020. Real wages have barely moved. Home ownership has not just slipped out of reach for younger Australians; it has been pushed there…
Public housing tells the rest of the story. Fewer than 4% of Aus homes are public…”

A message from a professor who still lives in the US (in other words, wasn’t able to take a plum offer to go live and work in a safer, nicer country):
Hey folks, get yourselves out to a no kings protest today!
I apparently have to repost this since they're back in the news
As someone sitting in Southeast Asia watching folks freak out about whether the Hormuz blockade will cause a 1997-level crisis, this is a good development
"What we are seeing is the application of the same market-crushing techniques that were used to displace entire industries with the rise of social media & the gig economy, now being deployed across the very #openinternet infrastructure that made the modern internet possible.”

Money-Cou(n)tts sounds like a surname an American would make up for the most insufferable British character
Who killed them huh? Who murdered those paramedics? Jfc years after we watched Israel bomb hospitals repeatedly we are still playing this game?
Since it's not super clear from the headline, this move comes after the US and Israel targeted Iranian universities, seemingly trying to assassinate academics in strategically important fields
Wishing nothing but safety and security to all academics everywhere. The purposeful targeting of universities by anyone is a grave crime against humanity and knowledge.

Sorry, *EGA* aacounts for about 4% of global production. This facility on its own accounted for about 2.16% of production in 2025.
"significant damage #Iranianstrikes #aluminiumproduction #AITaweelah #UAE
The thing with aluminium production is that if facilities shut down or have power failure you often can't just start them back up again.
If the power is out for an extended duration (3 hours+) the pot lines where the aluminium is smelted start to freeze below 900C.
That creates big restart issues!
