Whilst I preferred the first one, this is still an excellent twist on the tried and true Twilight Struggle formula. Minor additions to the ruleset add a fair amount of flavour.

Occasionally one is lucky enough to stumble upon a vestige of 'the old internet', abandoned sites that are still repositories of longform writing on everything from abandoned Soviet amusement parks to interactive fiction about the the outbreak of yellow fever. I'm gonna dig here awhile.

I've played as both the French and Russians now, and found both sides to be a really enjoyable puzzle of logistics. Of course the sumptuous production doesn't hurt either :)

Been waiting on this one for awhile! I really enjoyed the original SHASN, especially with the 'near future' deck which is sadly seeming less and less satirical every day

You might think you know where its going when it starts, but I promise you that you don't.

I stumbled on this banger a few weeks ago. Very solid.

Today I learned the word 'Ephemerides', which are Galileo's timetables charting the eclipses of the Jovian moons for means of calculating longitude.

Such a good word.

Don't do what I did and let Combat Commander languish on your shelf for years. This one is a straight up banger, and way more playable /straightforward than it may first appear.

Great start to gaming in 2025.

I have a lot of resolutions/ambitions for 2025, some big, some small.
One of them is definitely to devote more time to just aimlessly walking whilst listening to weird music as the wind tousles my hair dramatically.

As someone who usually finds euros very dry, this one provided ample room for plummy voiced roleplaying which we enjoyed.

I know Blood Incantation won many plaudits this year for their 'Morbid Angel meets Gilmour's Pink Floyd' take on heavy psychedelia but for me, this is a far more interesting attempt at taking your brain to an absolute elsewhere (a Moroccan bazaar housed inside a gravitron).
