The latest episode of Off the Record is out now. This week @tudorsdynasty.bsky.social and I are following up on last week's episode of men behaving badly with a chat about women behaving badly, or at least badly by Tudor standards.

Archbishop, Chancellor, Kingmaker. A Life of Thomas Arundel by Chris Given-Wilson, "a must read for anyone who wants to know more about the fascinating figure that was Thomas Arundel." amymcelroy.substack.com/p/book-revie... @amymcelroy.bsky.social @bec1926.bsky.social #History #BookReview
Haha that's so kind of you! I'm just a normal person I promise! Thank you again for raising that question, I appreciate it 😊
🤣
Wow, no that is not ok, I didn't even know that was a thing! No need to apologise, I'm glad you asked or I'd never have noticed the error.
Haha sorry I was trying to keep within the character limit & had to remove wording I'd used elsewhere to fit but should have checked it properly before posting. I meant people can support without buying by liking posts etc but of course if they do read a book reviews can be the best way to support.
To clarify as this has caused confusion, my reference to supporting without buying/borrowing are the bottom few entries on the list. You can support through sharing posts etc. Supporting with reviews is for those who have read/borrowed a book. Clearly keeping to the character limit here didn't work.

I never said anyone should do that
Absolutely. Reviews should be for books read!
There is something special about reading/hearing that someone enjoyed your work. There are plenty of ways to support authors even if you don't buy/borrow a book. Reviews really help or even a rating and you could make an authors day!

Thank you! I hope it helps! There are quite a lot of books on him, many focus on a specific aspect of his life such as religion, so I have tried to give an overview of his life to give readers the opportunity to then further read about specific areas.
Thank you Tony for hosting me!
My book on Erasmus is due out at the end of the month!
