At approximately 9:09 a.m., LFR responded to a report of flames on the 2nd floor of an apartment building. According to scanner traffic, crews located and extinguished a small fire on 2nd floor.
A tow truck is now on scene, towing a vehicle from the area. Officers on scene had switched to an encrypted channel but have since returned to the primary channel. It remains unclear whether anyone has been taken into custody.

At least four LPD cruisers are in the area. According to scanner traffic, officers appear to be searching for an individual in the area. While some officers have left the scene, some remain in the area.

LPD & LFR on scene of accident involving at least two vehicles. A total of at least three individuals have been transported to the hospital.
Including One category yellow, and two category green.

Jones was arrested for felony DUI causing serious bodily injury. He complied with a breath test, which showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.122 grams per 210 liters of breath.
O Street was closed for the investigation but has since reopened.
The driver of the Mustang was transported by ambulance to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the Silverado sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
Jones lost control of the vehicle, struck the median, causing the truck to roll onto its side, and then collided with a westbound Ford Mustang.
According to witnesses and evidence at the scene indicate that a red Chevy Silverado, driven by 30-year-old Nicholas Jones, was traveling eastbound on O St from 27th St in a reckless manner by spinning the vehicle's tires and serving back and forth.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, officers responded to a reported vehicle collision near O St and 27th St.
#LincolnNews – Lincoln Police have arrested one individual following the serious crash that occurred last night of May 24, 2025 near O St and 27th St.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
The victim reported he believed the assault took place several blocks north of where he was found.
At 8:32 p.m., officers responded to the area and found a 27-year-old man with a stab wound to his shoulder area. The victim told police the stabbing did not occur at that location. Instead, he had walked there seeking help from employees at the nearby facility.

Here’s a view from across the street. It appears the accident may have involved as many as 4 vehicles.
Lincoln Police confirm that at least one person has sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of this accident.

LPD is requesting LFR Code 1 response for a vehicle accident involving two females reporting whiplash injuries.
Police would like to remind everyone to be respectful of others, obey all traffic laws including the new nuisance vehicle ordinance.
