Bluesky Goes Dark in Mississippi Over Age Verification Law Bluesky has chosen to block access in the state rather than risk potential fines of up to $10,000 per violation.

Bluesky “announced Friday that it will be blocking all IP addresses within Mississippi for the foreseeable future in response to a recent US Supreme Court decision that allows the state to enforce strict age verification for social media platforms.”

I grew up in Mississippi. This is fact. I would add that it’s a sickness perpetuated by the powerful to build and take advantage of fear, growing up amid bigoted propaganda and desire to not believe one is not bottom of the barrel.

Real leaders would do the opposite to teach all can rise together.

I feel like this is why the rest of America hates southerners and why the coastal dems blame us for the political state we’re in now.

And yes, I’ve seen the Buffalo Soldiers shirt. You can do stupid things and still want to be a better citizen.
