MKII K8 Telephone Kiosk, Seacroft Hospital, Leeds, West Yorkshire - Grade II listed, March 2026

NEWS: Another rare K8 Telephone Box has been found and Grade II listed!

Designed 1965-66 by Bruce Martin (pictured here in his garden), the cast-iron MKII kiosk at Seacroft Hospital in Leeds (second image) was discovered recently by an intrepid C20 member and is believed to date from the 1980s.

A red K8 has been Listed in Leeds, Seacroft Hospital. It's the only listed red one in the north of England. Took me months to research its history. A mk2 Carron, with a 70s(ish) grit box adj! Thanks to @c20society.bsky.social and #HistoricEngland

16mm Doctor Who film still keeps turning up. A few days ago this was gifted to me by a long retired former editor on the series during the 1960s. Hopefully we will find out very soon what is on it. Looks like a mixture of different sequences as you can see the edits on each reel.
