Not a book post today...just a human one. My beloved mother passed away 3 wks ago. This weekend we celebrated our oldest daughter's birthday and I made her favorite #Pavlova - one of my mom's #classicrecipes (a meringue with whipped cream and fresh fruit piled high). Sweet memories.

My beautiful mother Kitty passed away several days ago - the level of grieving when losing a mother is primal.

I love gothic horror, all sorts of witchy worlds and class politics, and not to mention female rage as part of my own horror writing. Recent fave reads include "Dark Sisters," "Witchcraft for Wayward Girls" & "Starling House." My own book "Pearl Bound" is "final girl" meets "evil rich men."
