Well, I guess this is something to work on! Five regions submitted “tariffs,” and I gotta say there’s already plenty of expert analysis out there beyond rando security manager. When he told me I should include a graph to make his reports better I understood why people join ISIS.
Currently raging against our HQ intern who makes us submit monthly analysis to him and explaining that he, the alleged geopolitical expert, should be giving *me* the reports. “But I don’t know your region as well as you do.”
luv too travel with someone who says “I called my dad and cried about the plane crashing” before we’re about to head to the airport
He showed up in his cable knit thinking it was a wine and cheese event so this must be awkward for everyone.
It’s only half funny because having a total meltdown in a foreign country isn’t great and a health issue is the root of most of this, but I am in shock and awe of her ability to just go “Well, that’s enough of that.”
This week was really stressful then I read a post on r/ExecutiveAssistants by a woman on business travel to Germany. After a series of mistakes & trying to catch up she got so overwhelmed she excused herself from the meeting, went to her hotel, and resigned via email. With 3 days left on the trip.

It was exclusively managed by a SteerCo — no one at State was being paid to facilitate this. But, cool, we can’t even have a listserv anymore.
Minor grievance in the big picture, but getting notice that certain State OSAC committees were eliminated as part of the new EO sucks. Women in Security was a fantastic resource for global info sharing among members — public & private sector — and not a ✌🏻wasteful✌🏻 DEI program.
This is their relationship.
Mona is scared of everything and got here before Eevee. She is personally victimized by Eevee every day.
Eevee is my Temu knockoff of baby George. 2YO and totally out of control.
While a Great Pyr walked by having a fucking moment of joy. It was very Americana.
My neighbor’s kid is sledding on their old Harris Walz sign. This is all very delightful and also bleak.

Cecile Richards, who passed away today at 67, was interviewed for the current print issue of the Texas Observer by reporter @marytuma.bsky.social.
This story was going to run online later this month, but here is the interview now in light of the news:
You, too! I hope you have good celebration and peaceful rest.
Grinch drinks for the kids, poinsettias for the adults, and one batch of homemade ice cream left to churn. We're racing to the 5pm dinner deadline.
It was a hectic week wrapping up work travel, but the highlight was the guy one row in front on a night flight with his laptop screen *blindingly* bright and the zoom large enough that I was able to figure out that he's the GC for the world's largest cybersec firm.
Appreciate this post! I am hosting a One Simple Wish match up to $2500 through my giving page

"I'm not a fan of these guys, but we got no criminal justice legislation passed under Biden, and he's the one who got us here, authoring the 1994 crime bill."
It doesn't look like John has an account on here so I'm posting his thoughtful thread regarding the pardon. John is presently incarcerated at Sing Sing.
I need it to be ~15° cooler here for this level of shenanigans.
