Happy St. David's Day.
The background to this picture is the town of Tenby which inspired the creation of Meredith Island, the setting of my Welsh mystery series.

The cover of A Dark Death, by Alice Fitzpatrick. It's a minimalist depiction of the sun setting over dark hills along the horizon, dark water in the middle, and dark land and flowers in the foreground. The sky has large gray clouds in it

How Do You Write a Novel with 14 Different Authors? Carefully. It started with After Party. Not an after party, but “The After Party,” as in the Apple TV show that turned heads in 2022. Bestselling thriller novelists Joe Finder and Gregg Hurwitz had watched it…

I love the idea of 14 people writing a thriller. Though I'm not sure I'd want to participate.

As any writer will tell you, the setting of a book becomes a character & opens up unlimited possibilities, esp. if you write crime novels. But what if the setting is the most famous palace in the world? No, not Mar-a -Lago -- Buckingham Palace.

Tell Me - Alice Fitzpatrick - Jennifer Brozek In today’s Tell Me, Alice Fitzpatrick introduces me to the concept of grieving non-events, also called non-finite grief. Mourning a Life that Never Was

In A Dark Death, amateur sleuth Kate is forced to deal with her feelings of regret over never having attained the life she'd always imaged she'd have, known as mourning a non-event. I write about this & ways to deal with it in @jenniferbrozek.bsky.social‬'s blog
