Thrilled to announce that my short story "For Limited Appearances" will appear in Flame Tree Press' new Folklore Horror anthology!
Loosely based on Northern Greece's carnival traditions, I'm so excited to share modern folklore for a change, especially with a story so close to my heart.
A black background with lime green handwriting scribbled on it reading "Please vote for me. Okay thank you, I love you."
Three days left. Please go write in Guitar Concerto in C Flat Major, Op. 12: Lucina by S. Morgan Burbank for Best Novella in the Locus Awards. I have even made the famous advertising I do to ask nicely.

Here she is!! The cover is absolutely spectacular and we can't wait for you all to meet Avis in all her snarky, Sherlockian, emotionally stunted glory. Read a bit more about her on our newsletter here: mkhardywrites.beehiiv.com/p/boat-book-...

This looks rad as hell check out Oleander’s Kickstarter
His attention turned towards the city as Abraham’s retinue entered Patr. His sense of wrongness grew as they passed through the streets. The city was a corpse, and its death recent. The method of its passing wasn’t apparent. An entire populace didn’t up and vanish for no reason. Patr was bigger than South Point, maybe a little smaller than Brestil, which was a respectable size as far as Talmanic cities went. Displacing that many people was a staggering undertaking, but even more concerning—there would always be stragglers who refused to leave. If anyone like that existed here they were well hidden. Patr had the look of a place totally abandoned, a cursed place to be avoided.

We are now at Chapter 14 of TWWF!

One year ago, this little book hit the shelves in the UK. It didn't have much in the way of fanfare, no one will nominate it for awards, but despite everything, it's sold so much better than I expected and has made some solid fans, which, at the end of the day, is what matters.
