Nintendo’s “variable pricing” A/B test continues. Rhythm Heaven Groove is a full-priced game in Japan (¥6500), but $40/€40 in the west. Perhaps they’re recouping the NS2 hardware discount in Japan, and/or realizing that aside from the top percentile many westerners are poor now.

If you haven't seen the news by now, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will have a Star Fox cameo appearance with Fox McCloud being in it.

BUT, this does not mean a Super Smash Bros. movie is in the works. Don't get your hopes up.

Although variable pricing has been a norm in many other markets, US retail giants probably aren’t thrilled with NOA’s decision. I wonder if NOA smoothed things out with them in advance. The US economy being what it is, we might see new releases priced at digital $65/physical $75 instead of $70/$80.
