Been on a tear of amazing reads lately— Finished The Sword of Kaigen by ML Wang this week and it’s just incredible. It was nothing like what I expected and everything i wanted. HIGHLY recommended. Cracking into her latest (Blood Over Bright Haven) now, and so far so phenomenal.

Diving into screeners for SAG Award voting. Started with Wicked last night… and dang. The last 20-25 mins of that movie are THRILLING. What a show 🧹

David Lynch, damn… I suppose even the immortal get restless, even the endless get itchy feet. Wherever you end up, I hope there’s plenty of coffee, smokes, and blank sheets of paper. I promise we’ll stay wild and weird and wondrous in your absence. 🖤

Looking out from indoors, from June’s (calico) perspective, there’s Pumpkin (orange and white) standing outside on the living room window sill. He’s rugged and charming, she’s prim and prickly. It’s a match made in romance fiction heaven.

Same POV. Now Pumpkin has moved down to the patio, and June has crept closer to the window. She can’t let him know how she truly feels. But her growls and hisses only juuust hide the true passions she harbors. The glass that separates them has never felt thinner (and it’s real thin, this house is old, and it’s fn cold).

I gotchu! :) It was such a good book. I saw it rec’d by a trustworthy source (who I’ve 100% forgotten…) and their trustworthiness (whoever they are…) continues to be trustworthy!

Wouldn’t want to limit my reading enjoyment by doing otherwise!

Hell yeah!

It’s horrifying, but so so good. Not scary in an evil clown lurking in the sewer type way, but rather that this whole nuclear apocalypse scenario could be going on RIGHT NOW and we wouldn’t even know. Our lives are in the hands of just a few politicians. And that’s…incredibly terrifying.

I read my first litRPG book this year (another Dinniman: Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon) and I am now obsessed! I’m on book six of the Carl series. Read and enjoyed the first Shirtaloon (He Who…Monsters). Any recs on what to pick up next??
