Unfortunately the tiny watercolor palette I was gifted broke. However, it reignited my love for painting, so I’d say it did its job.

Sketched this hat while waiting in the car; painted it later. It’s meant to be mostly a value study. What I learned was I have a ways to go in understanding value, lol.

The brown fountain pen ink arrived. I’m not ecstatic with this tiny painting but I definitely see the value of not using black in small works now. And of course, because I got new ink, I needed a new brown pen to go with it, lol.

I was gifted a mini watercolor kit, so I’ve been doing mini paintings.
I think the black ink is a bit too bold for these small paintings’ line work, so I’ve ordered a waterproof brown ink to try out, but otherwise, I’m happy with them.

Unrelated to my junkyard car series, here’s a suburban.

Still working on my colored pencil (and color in general) work, but I’m overall happy with this. I definitely didn’t need to add colored pencil shadow for the truck considering I already had an ink shadow.
