Been playing it for a second time and I almost stopped at the EXACT same spot as last time, but then I unlocked some stuff I hadn’t before.

Yeah, I get making things from scratch is fun rather than having everything abstracted. Experienced that in my web dev journey for sure.

I see you’re making an actual game, though. How do you manage building things from scratch for the enjoyment against actually getting everything done?

Yeah, that sounds amazing. I can’t think of any other medium that really allows for that creative experience.

For all those game devs out there, what do you like most about game dev?

Who would’ve thought there’d be a day when Chris Evans returned as Captain America and it would be a part of the MCUs darkest timeline?

Personally, I’d like to see him reprise the role of Lucas Lee.

Let me know if you have had similar issues when trying to maintain a GDD and what problems you have run into with them!

I've found the modern concept of a GDD isn't aligned with the current process of game design/development, leading them to eventually break down at a certain size or stop being updated altogether.

This led me to start building a new tool, which I wrote a post about linked below.

Haha okay, good to know. So I’ll put 4-6 as a definite and 1-3 as a maybe. The FF games and the Trails games are the two series I’ve thought about going all the way through but we will see if either ever happens lol.

I’ve kind of wanted to do this myself but have been curious if it is worth it lol.
