FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRESS RELEASE: Doug Ford's "Gravy Plane" the real reason for Ford's sudden interest in jets at the island airport
Today, the Toronto Star reported that Premier Doug Ford has purchased a jet that can only be flown from the island airport if jet expansion at the island airport goes through.
"The timing of Ford's purchase of his taxpayer funded "Gravy Plane" and his sudden interest in expanding the island airport is not a coincidence, Norm Di Pasquale highlighted. "For eight years Premier Ford has not said a single word about the island airport, and suddenly he's hell bent on expand the airport to allow him to fly Gravy Plane jet from there. Ford continues to make decisions affecting Torontonians with the sole focus of him being able to get to work and his fundraisers across Ontario faster.
Any other level of government that gets involved in this seemingly corrupt process will now be tarred with Ford's taxpayer funded Gravy Plane."
NoJetsTO calls on the Government of Ontario to abandon this rushed plan and allow Torontonians to have their say on the airport by keeping the City of Toronto in the Tripartite Agreement.

Say it with all of Ontario now: why the fuck does “man of the people” Doug Ford need a private jet?

Doug Ford wants to open Toronto Island Billy Bishop airport to jets.

Doug Ford buys a jets for himself with taxpayer money.

I think Doug Ford is buying a jet and an airport for himself…..

P.S.: Can you imagine if Kathleen Wynne had done something similar ?

"Oh, no" said the supermarkets, "we're definitely never going to implement surge pricing! Don't be silly!"

"It's just that you seem to be testing out the tech for it, and you've commissioned a report into how much profit it could generate" I reply.

“OW rates have been frozen since 2018, meaning their real value continues to erode with every year of inflation. […] While ODSP is indexed to inflation…rent increases, food inflation, and rising utility costs consumed any gains before recipients could benefit.”

Screenshot of a news “Ground Summary” titled “Taxpayers group slams Ontario MPPs ‘loathsome’ new pay raise.” A small image of Ontario’s Legislative Building appears beside the headline.

Bullet points explain:
	•	Ontario MPPs will receive a 3.8% taxpayer-funded pay increase tied to federal MP salaries.
	•	The raise follows a 35% increase last year and the introduction of a pension plan.
	•	Premier Doug Ford’s salary will rise to $292,752; cabinet ministers to $232,340; associate ministers to $194,624; backbenchers to $163,275.
	•	A poll shows 86% of decided Ontarians oppose the raise, with critics accusing politicians of enriching themselves.
	•	Critics also question the timing amid an additional $25.8 billion in provincial debt.

Two small pieces about the Ontario budget:

1. There's no new funding for harm reduction OR for treatment — HART Hubs will have no increases, despite Ford shutting down safe consumption sites.

2. OSAP grants will be dramatically cut, except for tuition to become a cop, which will be covered 100%.

Remind me again what christ says about helping the sick and disabled? Canada falls dangerously short on its commitment to them. But, hey, I could sign up for MAiD tomorrow and be killed off by the state within 3 months. I bet your Jesus would approve.
