Hi David. A good quartet indeed! I have over 300 LPs released in 1975, including all of your honourable mentions, except Mudrock Vol 2 (I do have Mud Rock, Greatest Hits and The Gold Collection though). Be Bop, Sabs and both Rush are all top notch but didn't quite make my 30...

Almost half - decent score Phil!

Over a third - I recall it being pretty good!

Measly and not bothered about the rest? Fair enough. Life's too short!

Just been listening again and I think the vocals are fine on this album. Was trying to find anything on the controversy that the Verve remaster is actually worse than the original issue? Seem to recall reading that. I have both and, to me, the original sounds a lot better. Great album though...

I thought so. But, really, it was ever thus. That's why I never believed "Home Taping is Killing Music", because anything I taped, if I really wanted it, I'd save up and buy it. I think it's human nature to put more value on something you've shelled out for rather than something you got for free

He is but this is not him - nor is it the erstwhile guitarist from Gang of Four IIRC

While a top LP, really, there ought to be no place for vocals in jazz - there's no need - cf Hatfield & the North, Cleo Laine, that last Asif Sirkis LP I removed the vocals from etc etc...

The currency of music listening used to be money, now, it's time...

Found this article re the above, in the 100 year anniversary edition of Gramophone Magazine from April 2023... What do you think?

Or maybe I just thought about doing that as there are no bonuses with the Glam albums…

I seem to recall re my first “GLAM!” Collection on Bandcamp for RSD in 2023, the bonus was the album but with added vinyl surface noise to replicate that vinyl listening experience!
