this era goes toe to toe, book for book with any era of x-men.

I was scared I just liked this era because its when I got in but no rereading EVERYTHING last year, book quality wise its my favourite era, Carey Legacy, Brubaker, fraction and gillen uncanny, liu x-23, KYLE AND YOST X-FORCE???? Swierczynski Cable, some really great wolverine work by Way, just great

I'm a certified event hater, but its this for me, its where I got into x-men, and in reading every book from the time all at once all the books coming out of it are so good!, the plots spinning out of this and leading up to AvX , which is on the opposite scale of events is probably my fav era.

looking forward to getting that Ram V run in hardcover for my birthday in June and giving it a read for the first time, now I have the weird Young adult AU swamp thing twin branches, where swamp thing is two twins going to college, I'm absolutely not the target audience for this but I will read it!

its very standalone! you can just read it if you know swamp thing's deal, I've been reading everything chronologically and the runs up until new 52 are very sequential after eachother, both new 52 runs are very different but kinda connected, and the stuff between n52 and ram v is very standalone

Very happy to report the little chunk of swamp thing Mark Russell wrote is excellent and exactly what you would want from Mark Russell and that character! some really fun anthology stories with a big connective throughline plot that links them all! #comics #comicsky #dc #swampthing

here I am finally at the end of 16 years of Claremont X-Men, 3 adjectiveless issues to go! I'd only ever read up to brood saga way back when, so coming back and reading everything by everyone has been fun, it's pretty ok it turns out! it only defined everything I love about this comic.

Just started Peter David's chunk of xfactor vol1 from 91 and the way it instantly grabbed me, I haven't read his other run on the book from the mid/late 2000s either, it might be time! a thing about me is I save art I know I'm gonna enjoy like a squirrel burying food for winter, the time feels right
