Absolutely!! So true

This was a surprisingly great show! Looking forward to more from this family!
I have the exact same tradition!!
Amazing from start to finish!
You're right--those were both really good, though APOYM was pretty melancholy too! But the two leads were absolutely wonderful in that one!
#StillShining should have been named Spectacularly Shitty Timing. Even when a show is sad, you should feel grateful that you'd been able to experience the story. I don't feel grateful. I will probably avoid writer Lee Sook-yun dramas in the future. Acting was amazing, though! PS Kim Min-ju = Tzuyu
The prize was getting to think back on so many favorites thanks to your fun invitation! Thanks for all the ways you inspire the drama community here!! I really enjoy following your quick takes on both the latest and older shows.
Same!!!
I'm not on Bluesky enough to keep up with the delightful new chingu challenge from the drama queen @devotedtodrama.bsky.social so I'm just posting it all at once, but I look forward to following the daily updates of others as I can!
As I've been watching the wonderful character-driven Kdrama Still Shining, I keep thinking that the male lead Jinyoung could be siblings with the delightful young actress Park So-yi...they look so much alike to me and both are incredibly talented too!!
I thought the beginning of this show was wonderful too, but I just kept waiting for something bad to happen. I wish that sometimes a show could just work through normal relational ups and downs without having to introduce some external conflict to provide the drama (ie serial killer, death, etc)
Ok that's a helpful assessment! I admittedly do not speak Korean but I've watched about 300 dramas and it just feels weird the way they're interpreting a phrase that I know means one thing, but perhaps I'm missing out on the variety of ways that phrase could be used by native speakers or something!
Still in the first half and enjoying some of the ways that it plays with many of the reasons why people are drawn to romance Kdramas in the first place (watching the discovery of people's romantic feelings/butterflies). My main issue is that the subtitles seem terribly inaccurate. Is this only me?
I was absolutely not expecting to love a sports drama, especially one about the obscure sport of folk wrestling but "Like Flowers in Sand" was amazing!! Same with "Love All Play" and badminton!!
Watching episode 5, I was like, this actress has charm to burn! She can do so much with the smallest gestures and she seems so disarmingly genuine in every role! I'm in the club too!
Wow that's an epic couple! Thank you
Who is the middle couple?
A true life Kdrama romance--Shin Mina and Kim Woo-bin getting married!! May they continue to live out the happiness they've known through the past decade of supporting each other through difficult times...
Sometimes I just fast forward past all the scenes that don't include the lead characters. For example:
Close to the whole oeuvre collected, read, and deeply admired. Assessment: reliably superb. But I do understand the sentiment of the OP as I've had the same experience with other authors who have fans of which I am not one (ie LM Bujold whose sci-fi I don't love but whose fantasy I find impeccable!)
Not even their best album, but still perfect. (Also Joshua Tree and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me)
My copy arrived today! Looking forward to diving into this after the long wait
In St Paul & missed @matthewdtaylor.bsky.social by one day! Keep up the good work brother Matt from your old Fuller buddy...

My Youth keeps making me feel anxious!! I wish that there wasn't so much angst!
On a theological level, I think that a work like John Peckham's "Divine Attributes" has made some helpful corrections/ adjustments to the overstatements of classical theology!
Ordered & looking forward to reading!!
Thank you for these updates!!
