Chasing aurora and clear skies sometimes means stopping in less than ideal spots (but definitely safe spots on the road). Compositions can be tricky to figure out. I was just able to isolate this tree with the lights wrapping around the top of it.

Some excellent stacks this year!

An astromodified camera and a Hydrogen Alpha clip-in filter allow me to pick up nebulosity - the glowing gas clouds. Processing this data is still new to me, but I'm having fun with it!

A train rolling through the famous Morant's Curve at night.
I took my Milky Way images then left everything in place hoping for a train. The first image has the lights from the middle of the train and the second has the blinking red end of train light.
