I was in my late teens in the 90s, so yes, of course that happened.

Learning a language or a skill and using the same words or chords or art forms is not the same as giving orders to a fucking plagiarism machine!
These people piss me off!
I have 7 books on the list of stolen works used to feed it. And who even knows how my music has been used for the same purposes!

Sunny and cold.
It was 80 a few days ago and now it’s 40.
I like the 40 better.

The Dove That Flew Away, by Aaron Smith track by Aaron Smith

In memory of Marshall Walker
1954-2023

Every line in this song contains a reference to something about his life or the feelings we had when he passed.
I hid a lot of things in there.

A photo of Marshall Walker, taken from his obituary.

A photo of Marshall Walker, taken from his obituary.

3 years ago today, I, and a lot of independent musicians, lost a great friend and a great fellow musician when Marshall Walker passed away.
I will always miss this man.
He was a good one.

He put his Bandcamp link in his obituary! That was awesome!

Was mediating a union dispute yesterday (I’m the shop steward), with the contract book in my hands, looking up the exact phrasing of a certain rule, when the manager decides to race me by asking A.I. on his phone.
And of course gets a completely wrong answer. 😂

What’s with Bluesky today?

It works
It doesn’t work
It works
It doesn’t work

It’s acting like the Yankees’ bats.

It infuriates me.

7 books that I wrote either all or part of are on that list of works that were used, without permission, to train the damn AIs.😡

I don’t know if any of my music has been used that way, but it’s possible 😡

Yes, Bandcamp’s doing the right thing.

That person is not an artist in any sense that’s valid to me.

If it came out when I was legally an adult, it’s new 🤣

I’ll probably still feel that way when I’m 80.

We’re in the same boat!

And it’s apparently an old, creaky boat. 🤣

Aaarghh!
Yeah.
The time between the last issue of the original Tales From The Crypt and me starting to read comics regularly is right around the same amount of time between the first issue of Astro City and now. 😱

I just had to look it up, didn’t I?

Just saw someone talking about reading “this old comic series called Astro City.”

An “old comic series“ would be Will Eisner’s The Spirit, or EC‘s Tales From the Crypt!

Astro City came out a couple years ago!

Or….maybe I’m getting old?!?

🤷‍♂️
