Thanks, folks, for your thoughts and support here. I will think about that and check if it makes sense to do the job outside of CH. They told me parts alone add up to around 1000 CHF. I clearly have to do some research and comparison. Unfortunately, I am anything but a mechanical talent.

There are. Some mls north you are surrounded by mighty old forrests - so dense, that there is still lots of snow because the sun is not getting through it. The outlook to Switzerland and the Alps was much more attractive. I promise to deliver more pics with trees when the season is in full bloom 😉

Yes, I am quite happy with its performance + it is really comfortable to ride. Honestly, I am no talented mechanic - that holds me from buying a vintage Vespa - even if I love the style. For long trips, I usually use the MotoGuzzi V9, but as said, plan for 2026 is to bring the GTS to its birthplace.

Until now I am using my 300GTS (sorry not really vintage) only for city rides and daytripping. But I plan to bring her to Italy this year ;-)

Most important Learning for me:
My plans to purchase an ADV bike (like the #MotoGuzzi #V85TT) have been put on hold. All these bikes feel too big and clumsy. I will wait until #MotoGuzzi builds a #Scrambler like the #Stornello again (alternatively: Convert a V7 to a Scrambler)

Also #Suzuki premiered a nice one. But our Indian friends of #RoyalEnfield were absent (just with two bikes as a deco in a coffee bar). However, a nice line-up of some vintage #MVAgusta were impressive and a funny AND interesting presentation of guy who races 1/8-mile filled my afternoon.

I am aware of that. Gorges du Verdon is amazing - was there also last year. Dordogne, because it is less hyped, probably more relaxed. It is on the list; if not next, then not too far away in the future.
