If last year told us anything having a “not for sale” stance with the player doesn’t work, want away players are a waste of space anyway, the club need to privately be clear on the terms to avoid unsettling offers. If we got £95m for him it would seem good business but beware the low ball offer!

Striker in our team atm is a very difficult gig. Setup to rely on wide players and all of them are horrifically out of form. Should have buried that header tho

Like to see Miley/Joelinton in front of back 4, Bruno & Sandro midfield, Ramsey & Woltemade advanced of them, Wissa up top. Wissa & Ramsey can go wide to create space & Woltemade hold the ball up to allow Bruno/Sandro to burst on. It’s what we did with Wood & Wilson but with better players

Both Woltemade & Ramsey have played their best football (elsewhere) in narrow advanced roles behind the striker. With Tonali & Bruno’s quality and playing balls through the channel it really feels like we are missing a trick

I think we just need to get back to the mentality when Howe came in ie adapting to the players we have. The summer was awful and not his fault but this is the hand he has and he’s more than capable of adapting. Being wedded to the wide 433 when all wide players are out of form is the real issue IMO
