And then I also get a BUNCH of meeting requests, which to be truthful, I get lazy with as it piles up HIGH closer to the date.

Honestly just a link or two to click already grabs my attention way better than lots of text and no links.

So here's some very basic meeting request template you can use

Personally at this stage, I look for visual references of the gameplay+ budget range. They are the quickest thing to be able to tell if we are a good fit or not.

A deck>>One pager>a video>>>>>>>>text without visuals

..sometimes some crazy one liner concept works for me but rarely

2. Is Interested in:
"looking for a publisher for our upcoming title xxx"

Make sure these first sentences are visible on attendees view!

3. Add a logo:
Without it, I am more likely to scroll pass... don't ask why lol

4. Add website:
Social media, Steam Page, Google drive link, itch, SOMETHING!

These are what I look for during that process;

1. Clear first sentence in Company Profile:
"xxx is an indie studio based in yyy specialized in zzz games"👍
This not so much: "xxx is dedicated to creating player focused...."

A bit of a "duh" but hope this helps optimizing your M2M practices for GDC!

Before events, I go through the attendees list, open all the company profiles that remotely look interesting, research, and make a short list. And then I reach out.

I am just saying, it is so aesthetically disappointing.
There are so many cool ways to be a villain, think leather, studs, white Persian cat on your lap, piercing eyes..
