The company says it uses “human-led, AI-assisted” restoration to enhance resolution and color, but admits some distortions can occur due to limited original materials.

DeviantArt is facing backlash amid major changes:

• Its mobile app has been discontinued
• Free downloads are now limited to 10 per week
• Users are being pushed toward CORE, a subscription also required for artists to sell on the platform
