In dandelion season, when the Lilliputian lions spread magic at our feet, weave the magical golden flowers into your wedding bouquet for good luck, drink dandelion tea for psychic dreams and blow the seeds into the wind to make your wish come true.

Gargoyles, grotesques, and corbels reading books are my favorites.

“Books are the tickets to faraway places. To adventure and friends everywhere; and the best part is that you can travel the world without even leaving your chair.”

Thank you!
Narrow canal with still bare trees beside it that cast a shadow because the sun is shining. Spring is coming!

Very atmospheric! And cold too!
Vintage Easter postcard (1910) by Davidson Bros., Series 44, printed in Germany. Three fluffy chicks hatch from large white eggs among yellow primroses and spring greenery. The card bears the greeting “A Bright and Happy Easter.”
Today is Friday the 13th, a number long wrapped in superstition. It was once said you must never bring fewer than 13 yellow primroses indoors, for each one stood for a hatched chick. 13 eggs was the traditional clutch set beneath a broody hen. Fewer primroses meant fewer chicks!

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
-Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1953
‘Dusking’ - intriguing idea of creating a pause by going outside to watch the coming of the night. “Dusking is about looking at one point and seeing it fade. Don’t look around too much; focus. Trees are very good – they rise up for a moment and then fade away.”

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.
Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

This whole thread is really good, whether you’ve ever had to deal with cancer or not. Let us celebrate our bodies and the natural aging process!
