In no real order, mine are tragic love stories, creature features, and confusing/trippy sci-fi/fantasy.

Bonus points if the creature feature is tragic, or the sci-fi deals with hell/god.

#AmReading Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green. Really really interesting book, short -ish and easy to read, but takes some big ideas. Very recommended.

I do admire him and his family and those in similar situations at the time. I love baseball and am glad it has survived, and I do feel inspired by Jackie.

But the entire creation of our country necessarily depends on black Americans being disposable and less than human.

He fought not for baseball or American Idealism, he had to fight to just exist.To live.

I hate when people don't get how recently, and currently, things are totally different for black Americans. Its not "bravery" or "facing adversity". It was/is life and death. It deserves to be acknowledged.

Also, I really want to acknowledge Jackie Robinson day.

I won't go on about how selfless and amazing he was for integrating the game for our country. He was, of course. But that's not the story.

He was unsafe, his family was unsafe, he was hated and spit on for.. being black and existing.
