Calling my shot here: Wildgrowth Archaic is ABSURD and we will all end up hating it very soon. As a rare, it'll be a detriment to its format just like Dream Trawler was in TBD. Absolute house.

You're thinking of Noble Hierarch, because Ignoble Hierarch is a Modern Horizons card itself.

I feel like Three Visits is the poster child for this. Its pre-CMM price had NO justification other than scarcity. It's not a unique effect (quite the opposite), it was a common(!) and honestly it's not even powerful or interesting; just another ramp spell. Honestly, it's still too expensive.

Bought my ticket to Magiccon Amsterdam! Half an hour in queue, Black Lotus was already sold out lmao. Not that I was interested in paying 800€ for a con but that's insanely quick and I feel for the people who missed out.

Searching for "dandan" on @magic.cardmarket.com is almost a perfect metaphor for the history and range of MTG.

Here's Dandân, a weird creature from the 90s which motivated a genius of game design to create something that's now big enough for WotC to monetize.

And then there's UB slop.

Slay the Spire 2 is, unsurprisingly, amazing. Four runs in so far, reached the architect with two of them. Going to do a run as Defect to have played all classes once and will then focus on beating the game with the ones who fell too soon.

A few impressions attached.

IIRC, Fanfinity doesn't drop players until R1 starts because they could still technically show up (and get penalized for a late decklist).
Players are registered well over a month in advance for the European RCs, they must've just confirmed their attendance and then not went for whatever reason.

Are you sure these players were at the event at all? Qualified, pre-registered, never showed up is my guess. Why else would they drop at 0-1?

Same. I find this sealed format to be *noticably* more swingy than others, simply because of how dependant you are on a critical mass of creatures in a specific archetype. And you are really not incentivized to splash Sunderflock or similar bombs outside of their respective decks.
