Sad news, but happy to see the Bathurst caribou getting some attention. Now, compare the range map and the Bathurst calving grounds to a map of the proposed Arctic Security Corridor. If the road and port go ahead, local HTOs believe the Bathurst caribou herd will be wiped out

I have Koodo, and it has worked everywhere I’ve been in Nunavut/NWT
I would love to see someone do an analysis of how much it costs when Amazon/Putolator/Fedex/etc transfer packages to Canada Post to be brought into northern communities.
Community members will not see benefits from this project if it is allowed to move forward. But they will see the destruction of TWO caribou herds. Yet I have not seen any article even briefly mention these herds and their importance to Nunavut communities.
I have yet to see an argument how this road would improve Arctic security. And "connect communities to the rest of Canada"? Zero communities will be connected to this road! It seems purely for the benefit of mines.
A friend from Iran is in the same situation - application stalled 2 years now after graduating 3 years ago. There are much easier ways to get into a country than doing a PhD!
A-peeling (yech) for banana workers, or banana consumers? Zero mention in this article about what (if any) changes there will be to the conditions that led the workers to strike in the first place.
Growing up, “the AI guy” was the artificial insemination guy coming to breed the cow. Still kind of fits.
Screenshot of Facebook post by RCMP saying “The Iqaluit RCMP have decided to cancel the planned BBQ for National Indigenous Peoples day, due to the weather forecast. The next BBQ will be scheduled for Canada Day.”
Read this aloud to my partner, who asked - is that @theeagleist.bsky.social ?
Yellowknife mayor also running for Liberals. Against three Indigenous candidates (although, one not from NWT).
Renaming a flower muskox, but who is willing to give up their Starlink? We went with Northwestel (now Indigenous-owned), but it is a struggle most days. We need to invest in reliable, affordable internet for northern communities!
You can request a private screening room for the cat! That's the only reason I still have a cat, and the Halifax airport does not have a feral cat.
Me please! Lasering on Monday!
They are also substantially cheaper than Tadiran purchased through Innovasea.
We have not tested them yet, but we placed an order and will be testing them year-round in the Arctic, starting this summer!
For any acoustic trackers using Innovasea, did you know Tadiran batteries are made in Israel? I found these alternatives. The cells are made in South Korea and the connectors are added in Mississauga, Canada. Just ask for TL-5930/F using Xeno XL-205/F cells.
