The Down Time It isn’t the first time I’ve taken time away from rambling and ranting on here. But perhaps I needed it this time. Previous times might have been because of laziness, or exhaustion. This time, I might have needed it, even if I didn’t realize it.

Finally! A new blog!
It's been a month and I've done some thinking and self-reflection... which is what this blog is about.
I don't think I'm alone in these feelings.

The R-word was taboo as a slur for people with disabilities. Now it's being normalized again | CBC Radio The R-word has been considered taboo for several years, as a slur against people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now, the word appears to be undergoing a resurgence and normalization...

It seems the R-word is making a come back...
What ever happened to calling people ignorant pricks? Because if you feel ok using that word, or the N-word, or any other word that is purposefully hateful in the name of "free speech", then you are an ignorant prick.

Nice to get back to the Infinatum, with some actual goals and not just doing whatever crosses my path.
Today, a weekend-long goal to update some modern history/ mythology so that I can move forward to plotting out the ideas in my head and notes scattered about.

Majority of Americans see fellow citizens as morally bad — but Canadians are the opposite Most Americans see other American as morally bad, while less then 1 in 10 Canadians feel the same about their fellow Canucks, a new survey from the Pew Research Center found.

An interesting survey... Especially when divided among Republicans and Democrats

The Internal Fight I had this thought in the recesses of my mind that it was only a matter of time that my ideas, my stories, would be discovered, and find their audience or success. Mind you, I knew the reality. I reminded myself constantly of how many other creative people were doing the same thing I was doing, that they had incredible talent and skills, and probably better schooling. That I was one among thousands, hundreds of thousands maybe, trying to write a screenplay that would be considered brilliant or unique and made into a movie or TV show. Yet, that voice, that feeling, persisted.

New blog!
This week, I reveal a part of my thinking that I once thought was stupid, but now could be quite handy.

For those picking and choosing which parts of PM Carney's statement about the attack on Iran they want to share, here is the actual statement.
Guess what?
Politics, diplomacy, and being vague go hand-in-hand, especially with President Orange Turd being a whiny dick.

This weekend, wrapping up some Infinatum mythology.
I tend to have an idea, develop it enough to carry forth...
then realize I need to flesh it out so it doesn't seem thin as hell...
THEN create waaay too much mythology & adding connections to actual history if possible.
... but it's a lot of fun!

Seeing the Movie Matters Going to the movies has become as expensive as going to a rock concert, or a sports event. Is it still worth it?

New blog!
This week, remembering what is most important: seeing a movie, or where you see the movie.

Another day in the Infinatum, organizing the deeds and allies of mad scientists and power-hungry rulers, all believing their cause is necessary and just.
If I can't understand and sympathize with what they do, they're just... meh.

Words Remembered Words are remembered. People may say they are joking, to “lighten up”, or they are just being “honest”, but somewhere within their words, there was a reason for saying it. Or, a lack of wherewithal to realize their words may have more barbs than you intended.

New blog!
This week, how one simple comment can be remembered, and how we needs to take responsibility for our words.

I've been going over old files that need serious updating.
That's my mission next week.
I want them current so I could use them to foreshadow something that may pay off much later.

So, when the stories are read, people will go "holy shit! Is that connected?!?! How?!?!"

You'll see. 😎

Fight for Your Finale I’d hate to see how (the original Quantum Leap) series finale would have fared in today’s age of social media dissatisfaction with everything.

New blog!
This week, I talk about series finales, and how important the ending of your story/ series is.
Hint: It's very important!

The Non-Alcoholic Blog Thankfully, I have never had friends or family try to sneak booze into my drinks against my wishes. Even if they didn’t always “get it”, they respected my choice enough to never trick me. Plus, they would really regret it. I used to be quite petty. Those thoughts are still there, but I don’t act on them. But, if someone betrayed me like that… they would regret it.

New blog!
This week, I talk about my experience being a person who doesn't drink among regular drinkers, and the value of choice.

A slow day, but still productive.
The hardest part is double-checking my mythology when I come up with a new idea, to make sure I haven't already come up with it before, and how to fit it into everything else.
It's hard, but kinda fun.
It also reminds me that I have accomplished a lot already.

Getting By 2025 I’m tired. I’m f**king sick and tired of this life I’ve wallowed in for far too long. I don’t want the last decades of my life to be the same as the decades that came before. How fucking dull and pointless would that be! God! It frustrates me just thinking about it!

New blog!
New Year!
Starting off the year with a blog about frustration at a lot of things, especially myself.

I haven't spent a day on the Infinatum in weeks! So it was cool today to delve back in and go down the research rabbit hole looking up information and locations.
Have to admit, Google Earth is pretty damn handy.

The Return of Physical Media ...how stupid would Raiders of the Lost Ark be if Indiana Jones just downloaded the Ark via Amazon, only to have it removed from his list because Paramount+ or Disney+ had the original rights and wanted it back…

New Blog!
My last blog of 2025.
This week, I talk about the recent resurgence of physical media and why it should always have a place among those who value music and movies.

Change the Way You Think I was growing tired of social media. Work was wearing on me too much. Financial stress, worrying about how things will get paid, or hoping that using one thing to pay something else will be covered before the end of the month. Plus, the future. Writing. Life. Happiness.

Finally, a New Blog!
This week, I talk about why I've been away for a month, and a struggle many of us surely deal with.

Why does this sound better when said with a British accent?
Can you imagine someone from the American south saying this?
Weird.

The Path of Least Compromise I have also been reflecting on my past, especially my creative past. One of the big things that was missing from those days, when I was working on screenplays and quite productive; social media.

New blog!
This week, I discuss my recent decline in social media activity, over-thinking the creative process, and creative isolation.

Are we living in a golden age of stupidity? From brain-rotting videos to AI creep, every technological advance seems to make it harder to work, remember, think and function independently …

Short answer: Yes
The majority of us are lazy and impatient.
Why think for ourselves when AI can do it for us?

Remember Boredom? we use distractions (smartphones, social medias) to not think about our own things. But what is worse? While in our boredom, thinking about things that affect our lives, or being fed a constant stream of doom and gloom from everywhere around the world like funneling sugar to a toddler?

New blog!
Are you Bored? Probably not as much as you used to be. But we need Boredom, more than ever!

Choose Motivation I know I have many things in place to help me be creative and get writing. I have projects to work on, I have three places to set myself down and work, and I know what needs to be done and how to work on them. Yet… I am struggling.

New blog!
This week, I talk about motivation and making the choice, even if it is from bad habits to good habits.

Hello September Choosing what is best for us isn’t always easy. Even after you’ve chosen, doing it can be the hardest part, especially when doing it alone, without foolishly comparing yourself to others. You won’t be able to do it like them, you can only do it like you.

New Blog!
This week, I welcome September with renewed hope, a fresh start, and the on-going battle against bad habits and poor choices.

Everything I Dream is a Movie There always seems to be an elitism, a feeling of being superior, when writing a book, compared to writing a screenplay. Oh yeah, I know it sounds lame, especially knowing the hardship authors actually face. Perhaps it’s a societal thing. Novels have a rich history and depth. Screenplays are just blueprints for a movie.

New Blog!
This week, I talk about my creative direction, and why it is important to follow my strengths without fear.
