Comm work for @/NTayne
An illustration of Quill I did for them last year
A painting of a massive creature rising from a pink tear in the earth. It has long narrow horns that branch like antlers growing from its head. A lone car, silhouetted against the strong hue travels along a mountain road, the creature looming above it.
Beware the mountain spirit. Humanity has angered her from restful slumber; our careless greed has grown beyond ignore. Our folly will be our undoing.
Painting of a well and towels on a clothesline held up by a hand in front of the actual scene
I carried around a set of Inktense watersoluble pencils in my plein air painting bag around since the start of #pleinairpril but today I finally used them. Added details with gouache on top but the contrast is so much nicer than what I get with gouache only! 🤩
A paint test did during March Hotel.
I draw some chibis (~ ̄▽ ̄)~
A painting or three trees on a yellow/green background
original piece
A digital painting of 3 upside down trees with waterfalls falling from pools of water on the ground above. Some small platforms are built on the trees, and small silhouettes of people are gathered on top of them. 2 of the three platforms have colorful canopies overhead.
Reimagining an old piece from 2022
Its an organic built-in quest system. You no longer have some fetch quest to get 8 lorax spleens, the quest is to help protect your friend paul while he collects 40 mushrooms so you have food to clear content later.
And systems should be in place to reward people for delivering those crafted materials to make sure there is always demand for the whole cycle. I hate how over time it feels like mmos become single player experiences
Its should be a core part of the design that if you want materials so make weapons or armor or food or whatever, you need to form relationships with others. Gatherers should need combat people to go with and protect them. Crafters should need relationships with gatherers to help source materials.
My most adamant opinion about MMOs is that gathering materials for high level crafting should require having one or more people protect the gatherer. More people being required for more important, powerful, or rare materials.
