Tbf though traditionally I prefer .005 and .01 pens to sketch, or even just a nice ballpoint pen. And I’m just forever chasing the feel digitally.
(Which I am infinitely grateful to the artist that made the xerox brushes. They almost perfectly fill that weird neuron niche for me lol)
I do find it funny that as a digital artist with two pressure-sensitive tablets, I prefer brushes that don’t respond to pressure (or opacity). Bonus points if they have a gritty texture.

here's the thing. A lot of people are like, the earth is fucked, it's beyond salvation, it's hit the tipping point, but time and time again we see that if we just fucking fixed the problem, it rebounds so incredibly fast. Imagine what could be done if people actually cared
This coming from me giving WAY TOO MUCH of a fuck for over a decade and I am trying to unlearn it.
Though I have made the discovery that giving zero fucks is not always the best option despite some people preaching it.
Trying to find that balance of not giving a fuck and just *barely* giving enough of a fuck to keep the art consistent.

Jake is such a whiner, "When are we gonna eat?" "Why can't I eat that guy?" "I haven't eaten anyone since yesterday!" It's always something.

Our feature artist/tutorial today is this amazing PHONEME CHART by theendisnearus on deviantart (deviantart.com/theendisnearus). Great for ANIMATION, or if you draw COMICS, drawing your characters mouths in the shape of the LAST syllable in you SPEECH BUBBLE often works very well!
